AIS Virtual Patient

AIS Virtual Patient provides healthcare professionals the opportunity to strengthen training and decision making in acute ischemic stroke management. The simulator immerses you in various emergency department scenarios involving different potential stroke patients. Each scenario showcases virtual patients that vary in age, gender, and medical history to challenge diagnostic skills.

AIS Virtual Patient gives users the opportunity to:

• Take a patient history and build a virtual chart
• Perform a neurologic assessment of the patient using an interactive National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) calculator
• Evaluate computed tomography (CT) scans to assist in diagnosis
• Determine potential treatments for the patient and manage discussions with patients and caregivers
• Receive a Certificate of Completion* for evaluating virtual stroke patient simulation case studies
